Privacy Policy
This policy describes exactly what phonelint.com and the Phonelint software collect. It is short because we collect very little.
The free number checker
We do not store the phone numbers you check. A number you type is sent to our lookup service, matched against numbering-plan data, and the result is returned. It is not written to any database or log.
We do store a daily counter against your IP address so the free tool cannot be used without limit. That record is your IP address and a count for the day. It is deleted automatically after seven days.
If you give us your email
If you submit your email to raise your daily limit, we store the address, the date, and the IP address it was submitted from. We use it to send you the list-cleaning guide and to recognise your higher limit. It is a one-off send — we do not add you to a mailing list or sell, rent or share it. Email hello@phonelint.com and we will delete it.
The desktop software
Your phone lists never leave your machine. Validation runs entirely locally. The software contacts our licence server only to activate and periodically re-check your licence key, sending the key, a device identifier derived from your machine name and hardware address, and a count of validations performed. It does not send your lists, your numbers or your results.
If you use the optional enrichment feature, the numbers you choose to enrich are sent to the provider you configured — Twilio, Telnyx or Numverify — using your own account with them. That exchange is between you and that provider, under their privacy policy, not ours.
Payments
We never see or store your payment details. Purchases are handled by Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy or Selar as merchant of record. They collect what they need to process payment and tax, under their own privacy policies.
Processors we use
- Cloudflare — hosting, and the databases holding the counters and email addresses described above.
- Resend — sends the guide email to addresses you submit.
- Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Selar — payment and delivery.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing hello@phonelint.com. Because we hold so little, these requests are usually answered the same day.
